My previous version of this review noted that the Updater module had missed significant updates to Zoom and Mozilla’s Firefox browser, both of which became vital to users during the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown. While well-intentioned and focused as marketing and selling points, the Updater function seems to only locate a smattering of available application updates, and it’s almost anyone’s guess as to what it will see and what will be glossed over. Unfortunately, CleanMyMac X has a couple of modules that are the app’s greatest hurdles.
